Pastor Gordon McKinney, M.Div.
Biography
Years later, McKinney coordinated Durham Community Prevention Partnership, to enhance a city -wide federally funded substance abuse prevention program. During the new millennium, pastor McKinney worked as a Partnership Specialist for the US Census Bureau. As a Census Specialist, he was responsible for recruiting state, local, tribal government partners, to support the 2000 Census. Pastor McKinney spent several years as the Executive Director of Durham Companions Mentoring Program. During this time, he managing the pioneering state funded non-profit organization. In 2004, he was ordained in the Church of God in Christ. Pastor McKinney is currently Executive Director /founder of Greater Works Community Services, a non-profit designed to uplift the Triangle Area as a community resource outreach liaison in Wake Forest, NC.
Pastor McKinney is happily married to Voronina and has four wonderful children Samuel, Malcolm, Nnena, and Mason. He has a beautiful daughter-in-law, Yasmine (Samuel) and is a proud grandfather of Saniya Jade. For the past twenty years, Pastor McKinney worked strategically planning and implementing various techniques to help better his community. Through God’s help, he plans to greater impact the world.
